Levi x Child!Reader

        You giggled as you were being chased by one of your best friends. It was a peaceful day inside Wall Maria and you were enjoying every second of it. The thought of titans were absent from your mind as you ran faster and faster down the street. You turned down an alley to catch your breath and a wide smile crossed your face as your breathing slowly became stable. Your lungs burned but you didn't care; the only thing that truly mattered was not getting caught so you weren't "it". A few minutes passed and you made your way out of the alley, turning to go back to your house. You hummed quietly, a breeze blowing back your (h/l) (h/c) hair and your (f/c) dress. The sun shone down on you and a warmth filled your body as you walked, feeling comforted. There was something nagging you deep inside your mind and you turned to look at the wall that had stood there, protecting you, for all your life. Maybe the wall wouldn't always be there. Then what would protect you? You shook your head, banishing the thoughts from your mind and continued on with your stride home. You shouldn't be thinking those things. The walls have been there for years and they'll hold up for a hundred years more. As long as nothing bad happened.
        A sharp poke to your left side made you jump and you quickly turned around, glaring at your friend. "That wasn't nice. You scared me." You frowned, rubbing your side while your friend laughed. "You should have seen the look on your face (y/n). It was so priceless." A loud boom made both you and your friend jump and look to the source of where it came from. Your (e/c) eyes widened, seeing a large, skinless hand gripping the top of the wall. You grabbed your friends hand and took a step back with them. "What is that?" You whispered to yourself and the answer came a few seconds later. The skinless face of a Titan appeared, peering over the wall. You shuddered and stared at it in awe. A few moments later, to the front of the wall, you could hear a chorus of screams and the stampede of large footsteps. Without a second thought, you ran forward, letting go of your friends hand. "Wait. (y/n). Stay here" Your friend called after you but you ignored (him/her). The only thought on your mind was if your house and family were safe. The screams got louder as you ran to your house and destroyed buildings were everywhere. You turned a corner sharply, nearly tumbling over and looked for your house. Or what was left of your house. All that was in its place was rubble. "No... It cant be." You uttered softly, stepping forward slowly to the remains of your home; the one you grew up in, the home always filled with laughter and love. It couldn't be gone. You fell to your knees and tears started to run down your (s/c) face. 'What happened to mom? And dad?' you thought, wiping the tears from your eyes. You turned around when you hear approaching footsteps. Not those of a human but those of a Titan. You stood up quickly, seeing the Titans head and you met eyes with it. You swore that grin of it grew a bit wider when it saw you. You stood, paralyzed half in fear and half in sadness. 'Why can't i move?' You looked down at your legs, hoping you could move but still, the Titan got closer.
        You closed your eyes, waiting for it to all end. Your eyes shot open when you felt someone pick you up. You looked up into the stoic face of your savior. 'Wait. I think i know this guy' You wracked your brain for knowledge as the man stayed completely silent. You decided to ask him but as you went to ask, he set you down atop a building. "Stay here." He told you firmly and turned around. Before he could jump off, you grabbed the cape and gave it a tug. "Wait. What's your name?" You stared up at him innocently and the look on his face became a cross between annoyed and calm. "Its Levi." He told you, glancing down at your small hand still on his cape. You nodded and sniffed due to the crying you did earlier. "Thank you for saving me, Levi." You softly said, looking down at your feet. Tears welled up in your eyes as you thought about the family and home you lost. You could feel Levi staring down at you and you felt a bit self conscious but, nonetheless, you started to cry again. Levi sighed and took off his cape, handing it to you. "Hold onto this and put it on. It'll help me find you later." You nodded, rubbing your eyes and pulling the cape to your face. Without a second thought, you blew your nose on the cape and Levi narrowed his eyes at you, a look of disgust on his face before he used his 3D maneuver gear to fly off. You sat against a chimney and covered yourself with the cape. You occasionally wiped your face into the cape, causing some booger stains on the cape. Despite all the yells and screams of fear, you were able to fall asleep due to the crying you had done.
        You quickly woke up when you felt a hand grab your side. You began to thrash around, kicking and punching whatever was holding you. "Relax or I'm going to hit you back." It was Levi and the tone in the voice showed he was not joking. He would hit you back. You stopped moving and let Levi take the cape off you. You shut your (e/c) eyes when the sun hit them and turned your head away. "You know what? Why don't you keep the cape? I can get a new one" he said and you opened your eyes again, smiling sheepishly at the man. "Sorry about getting your cape dirty. Its really warm though" You stood up and reached out a hand to take the cape from him. He leaned down and put the cape around you. "Just wear it. I don't want you getting it dirty anymore. I don't want some kid looking like dirt being associated with me." You were torn between feeling offended or feeling thankful that he was keeping you (and the cape) clean. "Uh. Thank you?" you replied, looking up at him. "Come on. I'll take you home." He gestured for you to follow him and you froze up. "I don't have a home anymore. The Titans destroyed it. I have nowhere to go." You looked down at the ground, holding back tears. He picked you up and sighed, heading to Wall Rose with the maneuver gear. "You do have somewhere to go. You're going to stay with the Survey Corps. More importantly, you're going to stay with me." You stared up at him, wide eyed. "What? Why am i staying with you?" You asked, before mumbling "you're probably going to make me your servant or whatever." He let out a small, barely audible chuckle. "Don't give me any ideas. I will do it. But you need someone to look after you and protect you. You're only six." You snorted angrily and corrected him "I'm eight and a half."  "That still means you need someone to protect you. And i will protect you no matter what the cost." He glanced down at you and gave you a reassuring smile.
