       ~~~ Part two in which baby you becomes psychic.~~~~
 It had been a few months since the Striders took you in and you were already nearing your first birthday. Or, what Dirk and his Bro thought would be your birthday. You were currently crawling on the floor while Dirk kept a sharp eye on you. You were still really curious and had gotten into some things that scared the brothers. They decided that you would be watched as you crawled around after they found you playing with a katana. You crawled over to Dirk and reached up at him. He smiled and picked you up. "We are going somewhere special today (y/n). Do you know where?" Dirk asked. You shook your head and looked up at him. "We're going to meet some of my friends. You remember Jane, right? The blue text." You stayed silent for a moment then nodded. "Jane!" you squealed out, even though you didn't know who she was. Dirk nodded with a small smile. "Yeah. Jane. Well, we're going to see her, Roxy and Jake soon. I'm sure they'll be happy to finally meet you." You stayed silent and looked over at door. "Papa." you simply said. Dirk looked at the door. "No. Bro shouldn't be home for a while." You pointed at the door again and mumbled out "Papa." Dirk sighed and shook his head. "No (y/n) . I told you-" He watched as his Bro walked through the front door. You clapped your hands and squealed out "Papa!" Dirk never quite understood how you could tell that his Bro would be home. You just knew. You reached up at the older brother and he picked you up and sat down next to the younger brother. You played with Bros shades while he smiled silently at you. Dirk leaned back on the couch. "Bro. She knows when you're going to be home. Its scary." Bro shrugged and let you continue to play with his glasses. "Maybe she can just sense it." He responded. You got bored with playing with the glasses and crawled over to Dirks lap. "Jane!" you squealed out, just as Dirks phone pinged, alerting him that someone messaged him. He pulled out his phone and, sure enough, Jane was messaging him. Bro chuckled. "She's psychic. We have a psychic baby." Dirk nodded, and looked at you. "Its time to go." He picked you up and you waved bye to Bro as Dirk walked out the front door.
        You tilted your head, (h/c) hair turning with you as you looked at the park. You pointed to the fountain but Dirk shook his head. "No. We can look at it later." he told you as he passed the fountain and went to the playground. Dirk found the rest of the gang, sitting on a bench. Well, Jane and Jake were. Roxy was laying on the grass beside the bench and was staring up at the sky. Dirk cleared his throat, causing the kids to look at him. Jane stood up quickly and walked over to Dirk. "She's adorable." Jane smiled at you and you pointed at her eyes. Jane stepped back a little and looked at you confused. You waved your arms a little. "Jane." You said and pointed at her eyes again. The girl smiled and looked at Dirk. "Can I hold her?" He nodded and handed you over to Jane. She gently took you and held you. You smiled up at her and hugged her. "Jane!" She giggled and nodded. "That's right. I'm Jane. Its nice to meet you (y/n)." She turned to show you to Jake but instead, almost bumped into Roxy. "Sorry, Roxy." Roxy reached out for you. "Gimme the baby." Jane sighed and handed you to the fortunately sober teen. Roxy turned to walk away but Dirk sighed. "Roxy. Where the hell are you going with (y/n)?" The girl giggled and looked at Dirk. "Nowhere." The other three gave her a stare that said "We know you're lying" and the girl sighed, caught. "Okay. I just wanted to give the baby her first drink of booze. Is that a crime?" She stayed silent for a moment then said "Oh, yeah. Its against law. Well, its a stupid law." Jane took you away from Roxy and kept you out of the teens reach. As the two girls sat down on the bench with you, Jake wandered over to Dirk. "So, Dirk. How long have you had this child?" Jake asked, looking at you. Dirk shrugged. "Few months now. Why?" Jakes eyes widened and he looked at Dirk. "Why didn't you tell me? Why am I the one left in the dark?" Dirk sighed. "Well, I had to watch the baby 24/7 so she doesn't get into anything, Roxy was probably drunk most of the time when she was trying to tell you and couldn't get the message through, and you probably talked about your problems when Jane tried to tell you." Jake face palmed. "How can you always be spot on?" The Strider shrugged once again and walked over to you. He picked you up, and walked over to Jake. "Well, here. You can hold her." Jake looked at you warily but hesitantly took you from Dirk. You looked up at Jake and smiled innocently at him. Jake squeaked and hugged you. "I am in love with this baby." He said to no one in particular. The girls giggled, seeing Jake turn into a softie over holding you. "I'm taking this baby home." Jake said, as he turned and started to walk away. He stopped when Dirk placed a hand on his shoulder. "No. You take (y/n) home and I will steal all your posters of blue ladies." Jake gasped loudly. "You wouldn't dare, Strider. Well, Ill take that silly puppet of yours." The two engaged in a stealing war while you stared blankly up at them. Roxy suddenly leaped up and yelled out. "Hey. How come Jake can keep the baby but I cant even give the baby a martini?"
        After Dirk got you back from Jake after the two were doing having their stealing argument, Dirk sat beside Jane with you. You crawled off of Dirks lap and onto the floor. He watched you closely until you got to a stray, gray and white kitten. Everyone leaped up in synchronization, not wanting you to touch the cat in case it had something wrong with it. Unfortunately, you reached out and petted the small kitten. It shied away at first but let you pet it and began to purr loudly. Dirk walked over and picked you up. You looked down at the small kitty and reached out at it with a smile. The kitty meowed loudly at you and swished its tail. Dirk ignored the cat and walked back to the bench, keeping a good hold on you as he sat down. You pointed to the cat when it laid down and looked at it before you looked at your guardian. He shook his head and sighed. "No. We cant play with the cat. It might be sick." "Yes." you said, pointing at the cat. Everyone looked confused and Jane looked at you and spoke kindly as she asked "So, the kitty's sick?" You nodded a little and the cat sneezed. The other three kids looked shocked at you while Dirk wondered if he should take in the cat. He handed you to Jane and stood up, walking to the cat. He kneeled down to the cat and petted it. "Hey, buddy. Come on. I'm taking you home. Even if its for the night." Dirk picked up the cat and it froze in fear, wondering where the man in the pointy shades was taking him. Roxy looked up at him when he came back. "I can take the cat if you want me to." she offered but Dirk shook his head. "(y/n) would be devastated if we didn't take him home. Well, guess this means we have to go home then. " The kids nodded and stood up from the bench. You smiled at the cat, which had now become comfortable with Dirk holding him.
        Jane placed you on the couch when the group made it back to Dirks apartment. "We should get going then. We'll let you deal with the cat and all." The other three teens waved bye to you and Dirk as they left. Dirk was busy feeding the cat while you sat on the couch, playing with the (f/c) smuppet Dirk gave you the day he took you in. The cat ate the food cautiously, still wary of Dirk. He sat by you and sighed. You looked at him and he patted your head. "I do a lot for you, (y/n). You better repay me someday." He chuckled and you hugged him, thankful that you could have a kitty. Dirk frowned. "What am I going to tell Bro?" You pointed at the door and Dirk grunted. "Damn it. I don't have a good excuse right now." His Bro walked in and immediately noticed the cat. "Dirk. Why do we have a cat?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at Dirk. Dirk sighed and stood up. "I've been meaning to tell you. I've been training this cat in secret to be a ninja cat. He's spent a whole month tracking down an assassin cat and killing him. The poor cat hasn't ate since that faithful day he left. That's why he's so skinny." His Bro nodded and looked the cat over before he vanished into his room. Dirk flopped back on the couch next to you. "What are we going to call the cat then?" he asked, looking at you. You immediately yelled out. "Happy!" Dirk chuckled and looked at the cat. "Alright. His name will be Happy." He stood up and went to get the cat more food as Happy had started to meow loudly, wanting more food. "You're a needy little cat." Dirk mumbled to the cat, as he put some more meat on the floor for the cat. You yawned, obviously tired from the days events and laid on Lil Cal. Dirk kneeled down and petted your hair. "You getting tired?" You nodded and yawned again. Dirk picked you up and placed you in his bed, tucking you in with Lil Cal. You closed your eyes immediately and fell asleep. Your guardian snuck quietly out of the room, leaving the door cracked open. You opened your eyes, seeing Dirk was gone and crawled off the bed. You went through the door, smiling. Dirk had his back turned, making him some food. You climbed onto the couch and waited patiently for him to turn around. When he didn't turn around for a while, you squeaked out. "Dada" and he jumped. Dirk turned to look at you and then looked at the door. "I knew I shouldn't have cracked it." he mumbled to himself. You giggled and clapped as Dirk sat by you. "Come on (y/n). You got to get some sleep." You frowned and shook your head. He sighed and picked you up, starting to rock side to side. You yawned, being lulled to sleep by the rocking. Your (e/c) eyes closed and you actually fell asleep. Dirk continued this for a few minutes until he knew you would be asleep. He stood up and placed you back in bed, giving you a kiss on the forehead before he left, keeping the door cracked in case you had a nightmare.
Huh. I shouldnt be listening to Red Stars or any song by Birthday Massacre. It kind of makes this seem dark. Its suppsosed to be cheerful and cute. But, i hope you enjoyed. Have a good day/ afternoon/ night.
